Wow... there is a lot of huu haa after the news to pass the 6% service tax to prepaid phone user has been surfaced. There is 28 million subscriber in Malaysia alone and according to some source from internet, the cost has been borne by the telco company such as Maxis, Digi, Celcom, etc... 6% is just a single digit but the sum in enormous when you take a look at the whole picture.
It is the government that introduced the 6% tax. I'm still angry with it. The service of the telco is reasonably good, but that tax was actually implemented by the government, what have they done to benefit the whole community? by censoring more internet content? by xxxx the mainstream media? Actually, there is a lot of things to be done for Malaysia, but it is too bad that the be end is corrupted and being too mediocre.
Lets go back the total sum of money that is bugging me.... 28 million x RM10/month x 6% = RM16.8 million per MONTH... what the hell... what is the government doing with the sum of money???
